A small barbershop in the town of Ypsilanti, MI, The Fuller Cut, made national news recently by introducing a unique program.

We all know that barbershops are more than just a place to get a haircut. They are a place to grow as a person. A barber is wise, and people reveal their stories to them, and by hanging out in a barbershop one can hear many unique stories. But at The Fuller Cut, you can hear even more stories.

This small barbershop recently started offering a discount on haircuts to kids who read aloud to their barber whilst getting their haircut. It’s a great program, helping kids improve not only their reading skills but also their social skills. And it makes going to the barber all the more special.
