Barber Shops & Booze

Barber shops and restaurants sounds like an odd idea at first, but apparently it works, and has worked well for some.

Recently in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles, Blind Barber, a company who operates barber shop and restaurant combos, applied for a liquor license for their latest venture. The building would be a storefront barber shop by day, and thru the back of the barbershop you would enter the restaurant at night.

The idea is similar to an old fashioned speakeasy, and although it may seem rather strange to some to eat and drink in the same place you get your hair cut, the idea has worked very well in places along the East Coast, like New York City.
