WWE legend Kevin Nash will donate his brain for CTE research
‘I’ve already had short-term memory problems,’ Kevin Nash said.
Kevin Nash was one of the WWE’s biggest star during his Hall of Fame career. But know the retired legend plans to try to make the sport of wrestling safer.
Nash told ESPN that he plans to donate his brain and spinal cord to the CTE Center at Boston University and the Concussion Legacy Foundation after his death. Former WWE wrestler Chris Nowinski runs the foundation.
“Chris Nowinski started the program, and I’ve had several concussions throughout my life and had scans done and stuff and knew that somewhere down the line, I’ve already had short-term memory problems,” the 56-year-old Nash told ESPN. “I decided to go ahead. The only way you can diagnose this is after you’re dead.”
Nash has had scans on his brain that have shown abnormalities but no appearance of brain shrinkage, according to the report.

“I went ahead and gave my spinal cord and my brain to the study, and I carry a card in my wallet that my brain and spine goes to them,” Nash said. “It’s in my will. Of course, my wife’s aware of it.”
Nash’s career began in the WCW in 1990 and then he moved to the WWE in 1993. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
