We can Take Lemons and Make Lemonade! (But, We Must Do it Together!) 💈💪🏽

Imagine a dramatic movie with a political figure who submits a matched pair of bills to to be heard in congress… One, for the cosmetologists, and the other for the barbers: all, in hopes to reestablish the hair a beauty industry with NO TRAINING/NO LICENSING!!! … AND, THEN, THE PLOT THICKENS!!!!!!!!

I’ve seen and heard the fear IN THE HEARTS AND SOULS OF THOSE IN THE INDUSTRY, THEMSELVES, FEEL AS THOUGH THEY AND THEIR OWN WILL BE SUFFERING THE MOST.

It feels like the the energies have changed, greatly, and can’t EVER COME BACK!!! IS THIS MOVING TO THE EDGE OF THE COUNTRY? OH, No!!!

WHAT IS GOING ON?
This wasn’t a movie at all.
I read this in the Knox News.
It is such an entanglement that I will leave it here to interpret it for yourselves.
In short the sub missed bill to join the boards together late , and so how got about  three different from different channels of communication from three different offices all as if all we appearing going there as if they were representing the bill.
Local Barber Tyler Trotter and Bianca Dyon were extremely active to save the industry and their own businesses, as they rallied troops together from around the state who came to meet and openly challenge and charge that changes be dismissed on:
  • Merging the cosmetology and barber boards
  • Not allowing other Barbers to enter and work in Tennessee
  • Not allowing Tennessee barbers to use Tennessee licenses to transfer into other states

Walters said Tuesday morning that the bills have been withdrawn.

“While these bills were intended to allow for greater freedom for Tennesseans to engage in the business of natural hair styling and to streamline the regulation of the professions of barbering and cosmetology, mounting opposition and confusion made it clear that it would be preferable to withdraw support for the legislation,” he said via email.
